This work is a second installment of the series titled But Let There Be Space For Us to Frolic In This Unlike Place, which centers around the life of people who are disparate from what the society deems as acceptable and normal and how space is of utmost importance to them.

 

Dried pods are used to symbolize these people in the transient, latent spaces obscured between the walls of HDB flats where they have seek refuge.

But Let There Be Space For Us to Frolic In This Unlikely Place II, together with Somewhere Here, was created for the Young Talent Programme 2017 exhibition, a joint initiative by Affordable Art Fair Singapore and ION Art, held at the F1 pit building.
