The attachment in which people develop towards space is often determined by the architectural design and the disposition of the buildings.

​

For people who are disparate from what society deems as acceptable and normal, they are often drawn to the shadowy spaces that are wedged between walls and buildings with corners that are obscured to the eyes of the public. These spaces would allow for the privacy and freedom they have been searching high and low for.

​

Finding these spaces are often an exasperating process but once found, they become precious sanctuaries where they take refuge in to breath and frolic among others alike.

​

With the discovery of these spaces, Faris hopes to also navigate through the different emotions of these aberrations, and document their feelings of hope, joy, despair, desperation, confusion and isolation.
